What is a Gift Registry?
Gift Registry is a concept that allows bridal couples like you to choose gifts from a whole range of brands that you would like as your wedding gift. You can choose gifts that you would cherish and use when setting up your new home. All you have to do is register, browse our web site and add all items that you would like as gifts into your wish list. This “wish list” is then stored in the mychocolatemousse.com web site.
We are in the midst of working with participating stores in having “walk in facility” for Chocolate Mousse Registry subscribers. This would allow you to walk into selected participating stores and view and identify items that you would like to register as gifts. As this facility is not yet available please contact us should you want further information.
What are the benefits of using an online Gift Registry?
Almost all of your guests will give you a gift and what a gift registry allows you to do is:
- Minimize the chances of getting duplicate gifts or gifts that you will not use
- Allow guests (family and friends) from down the street and across the country to have access to your registry and contribute towards getting a gift that you have picked.
- Allow you to track your gifts with the online gift registry software that will do all the work
- Save your guest time & hassle to go searching for a gift for you
How do I register?
To register, all you have to do is go to the mychocolatemousse.com home page and click on Create Yours Now and do the following:
- Read our Privacy Policy
- Fill in the necessary information about yourself and
- Login to your registry
That simple! No payment is required.
How do I make payment?
Its free to register for your very own Gift Registry and wedding tools.
For guest to purchase gift items they can make payment by:
- Credit card (Visa/Master card)
- Maybank2U
- Cheque
- Credit card transaction is immediate
- Maybank2U transaction will require guest to fax us transaction details before gift is delivered
- Payment by cheque will allow guest to purchase gift item once the cheque is cleared.
How will our guest know about our registry?
There are a few ways you could inform your guest (family and friends) about your registry. Direct them to:
- Your personal web page (if you have created one using our create your own web page) or
- The mychocolatemousse.com web site and inform them of either your registered name, e-mail address or event day so they may search for it through the Find A Registry to gain access to your personal registry
You can do so by:
- Informing your closest family members and close friends through word of mouth
- Sending e-mails using our save the date section under Create Your Own Web Page to family and friends
Inserting a gift registry enclosure in your wedding invitation which informs guest they have an option of using your registry to browse through your wish list
What if our guest do not have access to a computer?
We have an office and guests can call us at 603-6201 3969 where they can access information about your registry.
We can take credit card orders and assist them in getting the right gifts for you.
Can we edit our registry should we change our minds about the gifts we have registered?
You can, as a couple, add or remove items from your wish list at anytime as long as that particular gift has not been purchased. You can, as you are nearing your ‘big day”, decide you want to add additional items to your registry as many of the items you have registered for may have already been bought.
What price should our gifts fall under?
You can register for gifts from as low as RM50 to as high as RM1, 000. You should be aware what range would be the most suitable for your guest. It is best to have items that fall under each price range. For example you should have some items ranging between RM50 to RM100 so that it allows those who have a budget to be able to get you something.
Also, many times office colleagues and friends from your different clubs may give you a combined gift, so having gifts in the RM200 to RM1, 000 range will allow them to do so.
How many items can we register for?
It is important that you know the number of guest who will be attending. There is no rule as to the exact number, however it is best to register for as many as you would like as this will provide your guests a wider range to choose from.
Then again be careful so as to not to choose items that you do not really need as there is a good chance someone would buy this for you. Make sure have a need or want for whatever you registered for.
What if we want a gift from a store that is not listed in your participating brands?
All you have to do is inform us either by writing or calling us. We will need certain particulars of the store. We will then contact the store to make necessary arrangements for participation.
Although joining is free there are a few criteria’s that need to be finalised with the store. Once there is an agreement between us and the store, we will work on posting items in our web site.
What are Purchase/Gift Certificates?
Purchase certificates are like cash and you can redeem it in specific stores (usually in stores that have their name on the certificate). It allows you the flexibility to choose any gift at the store location. For example for larger items, like furniture, you will be given the opportunity to register for a RM amount (in denomination of RM50 and RM100) that your guest can purchase. You can then redeem the total amount that has been purchased by guest and get yourself a gift that you want.
Tip:When you receive a purchase certificate, as your gift, we do advice you to inform your guest what you have purchased using the gift certificate when you send them a Thank You note.
What are Wedding Tools?
Wedding Tools are resources that you can use to assist you in planning your big day. The tools that are available to you are:
- Directory – With a click of your finger you will have access to useful contacts and resources that will assist you in getting started.
- Create Your Own Web Page – Now you can create your very own web page according to your style and inform your family and friends about your other half and all about your big day.
- Checklist – You no longer have to have scraps of paper to write “things to do” and reminders to remind you of your “to do’s”. We have created an interactive checklist, unique to you, assisting you to keep track of all your “To Do’s” towards your big day. It also comes with a reminder of items that need to be done.
- Guest List Manager – Manage your guest list by adding new names or updating existing ones and organizing your guest seating and have all this information available to you anywhere, at anytime.
- Tips & Ideas - Be informed of the latest happenings in the wedding front and wedding related news.
Do I have to make additional payment to use all the wedding related tools/software?
No payment is necessary as registering is free. The wedding tools are yours to use once you register for the Wedding Gift Registry. This is to assist the “to be” wed couples to plan for their wedding.
How much does it cost to register?
Registration is free for 1 year, from the date of registering, and if you have registered for our wedding registry it comes with all of our Wedding tools/resources.
